Second Event Date Added!
Join us for our main event on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm EST for a FREE, virtual film screening of the documentary “How (not) to Build a School in Haiti”. Created by filmmaker Jack Newell, the film showcases the human collision of development, history and colonialism when a seemingly simple aid project spirals out of control in Haiti, forcing a reckoning on privilege and power.
Following the film, we’ll host a curated panel discussion with leaders in development, aid and human rights, giving you a chance to submit questions and interact with panelists. Click the button below to view the film trailer, and register for the main event!
Due to popular demand, we’ve added a SECOND event screening! Geared towards our communities in the west, this second event will take place Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 5:30-8:30pm PST (6:30-9:30pm MST). Note that this will be a replay of the recorded first event, so the panel discussion will not be live.
