EWB at the bookstore: bestselling author Brené Brown loves Fail Forward!
EWB put achieving its mission before looking good, and sparked a revolution.
Engineers Without Borders Canada is now available at your local bookstore—sort of.
Brené Brown, bestselling author and TED talker extraordinaire, has a nice shoutout in her new book, Rising Strong, to Fail Forward—a former EWB venture started by EWBer Ashley Good! Here’s some of what Brené has to say:
“The work being done by Ashley Good is a great example of how we must embrace the difficult emotion of falling. Good […] was integral to the development of EWB’s failure reports and AdmittingFailure.org, a kind of online failure report where anyone can submit stories of failure and learning.
[EWB’s] commitment to solving some of the world’s most difficult problems, like poverty, requires innovation and learning, so it put achieving its mission before looking good, and sparked a revolution.”
Be sure to drop Ashley a line to congratulate her on the recognition—and follow Brené, too!
