The Election Is Over—Now Let’s Get to Work
The 2025 federal election is behind us—and now, the real work begins.
Thank you to everyone in our community who exercised their democratic right to vote. Your voice matters. At Engineers Without Borders Canada, we believe that leadership doesn’t start and stop at the ballot box. It lives in the everyday actions of people like you—those who believe in a more just, sustainable, and compassionate world.
This moment is a call to action. A call to remember who we are and what we stand for.
Canada has long punched above its weight on the global stage. Through our commitments to multilateralism, fairness, and cooperation, we’ve earned a reputation as a country that leads with its values. In a time of global uncertainty, we must continue to be a voice for shared progress and solidarity. Promoting global cooperation is not just good policy—it’s a reflection of who we are.
We look forward to working with Prime Minister Mark Carney and his new government—as well as elected officials from all parties—to support communities across the country and ensure Canada continues to think and act beyond its borders.
In the lead up to the election, EWB Canada contacted federal candidates across the country to urge them to prioritize a stronger, more strategic partnership between Canada and Africa. We will continue that advocacy with Canada’s newly elected officials—pushing for a relationship grounded in mutual respect, innovation, and long-term impact.
Whether you’re a donor, a chapter leader, an alum, or a first-time supporter, you’re part of a movement that refuses to accept the status quo. We’re excited to work alongside you to ensure that this new government doesn’t just speak to Canadian values—but acts on them.
Thank you for standing with us.
