Here’s what your Aeroplan Miles do for EWB

We hope you enjoyed a relaxing labour day weekend.

Today EWB is launching our Aeroplan 2x matching week. I thought you would want to hear about it, and I hope you are able to take part.

Aeroplan matching week is one of the most important weeks of the EWB Canada calendar as this week only Aeroplan graciously matches all donations up to 500,000 miles.

For the last 15 years we have received Aeroplan miles donated to EWB from prominent partners like yourself. That’s why I’m choosing to send you this note today.

Aeroplan matching week will last until Sunday September 8th. Please consider giving some of your Aeroplan points today. It will help get our week to a strong start.

You may ask yourself what do these Aeroplan Miles do? What impact does my donation have for EWB’s mission? Well to answer your question your donation is a tremendous impact because it directly supports social entrepreneurs make a difference in Sub-Saharan Africa:

With your donation you help us send forty EWB Fellows to help create possibilities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

For all our Fellowship programs we use the aeroplan miles to support travel to Africa and to Canada. Our Fellows support local organizations in areas like agriculture and small business development. They focus their efforts on lasting and scalable solutions.

As you know EWB considers that poverty is the product of broken systems that prevent people from realizing their full potential. Beating poverty means making those systems work.

Our EWB Fellows work hard to make those systems work. You and I also contribute when we invest in people—smart and committed systems change leaders who accelerate African development. It’s not just about projects. It’s not just about technology. It’s about people working with people to create lasting, scalable change that unlocks human potential.

With your donation, you participate in EWB’s mission by investing in people. I hope you are able to join me and take part today.
