Your AGM Recap + EWB’s Vision for the Future
Last week marked a special milestone for Engineers Without Borders Canada—our 2025 Annual General Meeting, and the official launch of our 25th Anniversary Campaign.
Whether you’ve been connected to EWB for years or you’ve recently found your way back into our orbit, you’re part of a community that’s helped shape 25 years of people-powered change. And now, we’re setting the stage for what comes next.
To kick things off, our new CEO, David Boroto, shared a powerful message about where EWB is headed—and how our roots continue to guide our future.
A Movement Reconnected
In his address, David shared EWB’s renewed focus on the heart of what has always made it powerful: our people.
“We’re going to be reliant on our network of volunteers all across the country to get this organization where it needs to go.”
He spoke about rebuilding community, reengaging our chapters and partners, and refreshing the voice and values that first brought EWB to life—across Canada and alongside our partners in Africa. The momentum we build now will shape our next 25 years.
What’s Next – and How You Can Help
Support the 25th Anniversary Campaign:
This milestone year is more than a celebration—it’s a call to build forward. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to power people and programs creating real, lasting impact. Your donation helps us:
- Strengthen our chapter network and volunteer community
- Support local innovation and partnerships across Canada and Africa
- Engage the next generation of engineers, technologists, and advocates
Every gift, big or small, brings us closer to a more equitable and sustainable future.
