The First Clean Energy System Is Live-WATCH NOW
You’ve followed our journey through Engineering Brighter Tomorrows—now we’re excited for you to be part of the next step.
We recently commissioned our first solar energy system at Chimpanje Health Centre in Zambia, and it was a moment of incredible celebration. This is what progress looks like—powered by purpose and partnership.

If you’ve been inspired by this work, now is the time to make your first gift. Your donation today will help us deepen our impact, support ongoing work at Chimpanje, and ensure we’re equipped to respond to the real needs of the people we serve.
This solar installation—12 kWh with 18-hour battery storage—is already making a difference. Healthcare staff are delivering safer maternity care, vaccines are being stored reliably, and patients are receiving care without the limitations of unreliable power.
As Herbert Kisara, EWB Canada’s Director of African Programs and Partnership, said during the ceremony:
“Today we are here to celebrate the installation of a 12 kWh solar system. But really, it is what this infrastructure makes possible for you that is worth celebrating… We see this technology as a catalyst—a tool that enables better services and opportunities for everyone.”
We’ll be sharing more voices from the community in the coming weeks—photos, videos, and stories from the people whose care and livelihoods are impacted by this work.
Thank you for following this journey so far. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get involved—this is it. Make a gift today.
