New Faces. Big Questions. Bold Opportunities.

We’re entering a new chapter in Canada’s international engagement.

Please join us in congratulating:

  • The Honourable Randeep Sarai, Secretary of State for International Development
  • The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • The Honourable Maninder Sidhu, Minister of International Trade

At Engineers Without Borders Canada, we don’t just welcome these appointments—we challenge our leaders to meet the moment.

Because this is a moment. A moment for Canada to think beyond its borders. A moment for leadership that doesn’t retreat, but rises. A moment to move past outdated models and ask: what does bold, equitable global cooperation actually look like in 2025?

We believe Canada must step up—not just as a donor, but as a partner, steward, and pillar of global solidarity, especially at a time when others are retreating inward. That means engaging with Africa not as a problem to solve, but as a force for economic and social innovation—one that is shaping the future.

The Canada-Africa Strategy can’t sit on a shelf. It must move. It must matter. It must challenge all of us to rethink what leadership, opportunity, and partnership really mean.

Because this isn’t just about policy. It’s about who we are—and the world we choose to help shape.

We look forward to working with our new Ministers to champion a re-imagined global role for Canada—one rooted in equity, respect, and action. And we’ll be calling on you soon to be part of this effort.

Over the summer, we’ll be working on our new advocacy efforts to push for a more courageous, collaborative, and forward-looking Canadian foreign policy. Stay tuned.

In the meantime—we want to hear from you.
