How to Support the Anti-Racist Fight (Resources and Links)
As we’ve witnessed years of pain and racial injustice come to a boiling point in the last several weeks, we’ve struggled to find the right words to say. We want you to know that the EWB family stands in solidarity with the Black Community in the fight against oppression, systemic racism and white supremacy.
Together, with all of you, we are grieving the senseless killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Regis Korchinski-Paquet and the countless others who came before them.
As advocates for inclusivity and social justice, we have put a lot of energy into informing and mobilizing Canadian citizens and politicians to take action in creating equity. But we haven’t done enough to drive racism and inequality out of our society.
As you know, we have always believed in the power of action. And we are asking you to join the journey towards justice and equity. We will be sharing resources throughout our channels and on EWB.ca which are geared to help you raise your voices and be a part of the solution. And if you have any additional resources and materials that you would like us to share, please let us know.
We have a collective responsibility to take this time to reflect internally and examine the beliefs and practices entrenched in our culture.
Through action, we are ready to lead with love, inclusivity and humanity.
