We are recruiting for a Manager, Corporate Partnerships to join our Partnerships team.

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, Manager, Corporate Partnerships works within the Partnerships team with a focus on the stewardship, cultivation & activation of corporate partners as well as driving strategy to grow revenue.  Alongside the national team, the Manager will cross-cultivate new opportunities in the Corporate Partnerships portfolio and create opportunities to develop next level relationships.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Stewardship

  • Manage relationships with current and prospective corporations and corporate foundations.
  • Support EWB’s Corporate Engagement Strategy by creating strategic and tactical plans for partnership engagement designed to gain/enhance the interest and involvement of the corporate prospects.
  • Set ambitious and realistic goals related to the Corporate Giving Portfolio, specifically around projecting revenue, building strategies for revenue growth, and achieving ambitious, pre-set revenue goals.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned corporate partners. This includes securing annual funding, providing outstanding stewardship and reporting on portfolio.
  • Working with the Director, develop and implement a comprehensive partner stewardship plan.
  • Support National events with partnership strategies and activations to increase participant and corporate engagement and event revenue.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to employee engagement partners to encourage employee giving.

Sponsorship and Grant Management

  • Prepare and submit proposals for corporations and corporate foundations that are compelling, accurate and professionally written.
  • Develop case statements, tailored proposals, sponsorship packages and progress reports.
  • Evaluate tailored sponsor benefits and identify unique opportunities to deliver value to partners.
  • Ensure sponsorship contract obligations are met (e.g. logo recognition/inclusion, category exclusivity), communicating sponsorship deliverables to colleagues across the organization.

Other projects and staff support

  • Ensuring that team members and volunteers are properly briefed and prepared in advance of any contact to support their cultivation of solicitation activities and provide support with their calls or face-to-face meetings.
  • Collaborate with Annual Giving Manager and Development Associate to ensure campaign and annual support programs and activities are integrated.
  • Responsible for data management of accounts and prospects.
  • Ensure all notes, calls, emails, gifts, meetings and events are entered into CRM in a timely and accurate fashion.

 

Internal/External Relationships

The incumbent interacts primarily with colleagues in Partnership and Communications and secondarily with other departments at EWB. Externally, there is ongoing interaction with partners (new and existing), potential partners and their employees.

 

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relationship or account management, fundraising, partnership development or related experience
  • University degree required
  • Experience working with a donor database/CRM
  • Strong planning, organization and follow-up skills
  • Strong project and time management abilities required to handle competing demands, prioritize tasks and successfully meet deadlines
  • Exhibits a positive attitude, acts as a calm center and navigates ambiguity
  • Adaptable to change by focusing on solution and identifying opportunities for improvements; a true problem-solver
  • Enthusiastic team player with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver results
  • Keen attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
  • Excellent relationship development and management skills

Working Conditions

While this position is fully remote there may be travel within Canada for meetings and to fundraising events. This position has a regular schedule but may require occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience and comparable to similar roles in the non-profit sector.
