McGill University, Mechanical Engineering
I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at McGill University, interested in both engineering and outreach. I was first drawn to engineering for the science and problem solving, but stayed once I saw how those skills can be used to create real impact in society.
I care strongly about outreach because engineering is often misunderstood or feels inaccessible. A lot of people who would thrive in it never get a clear picture of what engineers actually do, especially when it comes to humanitarian and society focused work. I want to help change that by making the field more visible and more real.
What drew me to EWB’s SCEC program is its focus on rethinking why, how, and for whom we engineer. I value being intentional about the impact of my work, and I’m excited to build a more thoughtful, systems level perspective through the program.
Outside of school, I love space and astrophysics, and I’m currently looking into getting my first telescope!
