Aidan Ko

Aidan Ko is a second year Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo who initially joined the Engineers Without Borders Waterloo Chapter as a Podcast Lead, eventually becoming the chapter’s former Co-President. He is passionate about using engineering, data and systems thinking to create meaningful long-term impact in communities and organisations.

Through experiences in leadership, technical projects and analytics focused co-op roles, Aidan has become increasingly interested in how collaborative and equity informed approaches can drive sustainable systems change. What drew him to the SCEC program was the opportunity to learn alongside a community of likeminded people committed to challenging problems and creating impact beyond technical solutions. Outside of engineering, he is a Hiphop and R&B nerd who enjoys salsa dancing and seal watching.
