Jude Al-Sallak

Jude Al-Sallak is currently studying aerospace engineering with a specialization in electronics and systems at Carleton University. She is building a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, with a growing interest in how complex systems are designed and integrated.

Her main interests include engineering design, with a particular focus on avionics and renewable energy. She is also interested in social impact, especially how engineering solutions can be used to improve access to technology, efficiency, and sustainability. She is drawn to the intersection of avionics and renewable energy, where electronic systems can support more efficient and sustainable aerospace and energy applications.

Jude chose to join SCEC because of the opportunity to work on hands-on projects and be part of a team that creates real, visible impact. She was drawn to the idea of being involved in the full process of bringing ideas to life, from concept to final build.

Outside of academics, she enjoys exploring new things, like learning new instruments and spending time outdoors. She likes learning by doing and finds motivation in building things that are both useful and meaningful.
