Joshua Largo

Home About Us Our People Scec Cohort 2026 Bc Joshua Largo

Joshua Largo currently studies biomedical engineering at UBC. He is interested in healthcare innovations that can either improve clinical outcomes in the hospital or support overall well-being in daily life. Ultimately, he believes that the true nature of engineering is to help others and drive positive changes in communities in need. 

He first joined the EWB UBC Chapter in 2023 as a member of the ACCESS Venture. Through this experience, he has learned how engineering health intersects greatly with societal and environmental issues.

What inspired Josh to apply to SCEC was the prospect of developing and implementing an impact project that combines sustainability, global engineering, and advocacy. He hopes to make a lasting change in his local community through this program.
