Vanessa Corkal, Policy Analyst, International Institute for Sustainable Development
Vanessa Corkal is a policy analyst with the International Institute for Sustainable Development, where she focuses on climate change topics such as fossil fuel subsidies, just transition, green recovery, and sustainable agriculture. Previous work experiences include the Prairie Climate Centre (University of Winnipeg) and the First Nation Adapt program (Crown-Indigenous Relations & Northern Affairs, Government of Canada). She holds a Master of Climate Change from the University of Waterloo. Prior to her policy work, Vanessa has researched, produced and coordinated social and environmental documentaries for international media company VICE and the Cree-owned film company Rezolution Pictures.
