Michael has more than 20 years of capital and derivative markets experience. Having spent time as the former business and desk head for CIBC DCM Asia ex Japan and for Clarkson/Amerex FFA’s in Singapore. As the first dual registered trader at HSBS Plc & Future, Michael brings a host of expertise and experience across many areas of work. Michael was the former Director & Senior Analyst for Research in Mining, Steel & Forestery for Sustainlytics where he engaged with mining companies for annual ESG profile updates including financial reporting and sector standards applications. Michael graduated from the University of Toronto with BA Honours in Political Science and American Studies. In 2014, Michael went to the University of Toronto’s, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy where he wrote his Masters Thesis: Conflict Risk Management for the Extractive Sector
