With Canada’s development assistance nearing an all-time low, our Bring Canada Back campaign asked Prime Minister Trudeau to increase Official Development Assistance (ODA) in the 2018 federal budget with the goal of reaching 0.7% of GNI by 2030.

Our community sent hundreds of “Valentine’s Day cards” and social media messages to the Prime Minister, and were thrilled to see a $2 billion increase in ODA, as well as a $1.5 billion increase in innovative development financing in Budget 2018!
