Madeleine Smith has been living in the Maritimes for the last four years where she worked in communications for two local environmental start-ups: Community Forests International in Sackville, NB and Found Forgotten Food in Halifax, NS. She completed her studies in International Development at the University of Toronto and later spent a year in Chicoutimi, QC learning French at the University of Quebec. In her spare time, Madeleine loves going on long bike trips, playing the cello and creative writing. She is eager to continue learning and growing with Imuka Ventures in Uganda this year!
