We are a global community of young leaders across Canada and sub-Saharan Africa who practice inquiry, ingenuity and collective action to create systems of equality, inclusion and opportunity.
xChange 2019 brings together the global EWB community to foster deeper connections to inspire new ideas and collective action for change. This year, we set to encourage delegates to act boldly in their care for humanity, especially for those who are underserved and marginalized by mainstream economic activity and political interests, and be more thoughtful when designing partnerships and opportunities to affect change both within and beyond their communities.
This year's focus
EWBers have been incredibly proactive in generating interest in global development, social entrepreneurship and Canada’s role in scaling impact investment to developing countries. With the multitude of community activities underway in Canada and Africa, xChange 2019 offers us an opportunity to come together to reflect on our successes, celebrate our failures and explore new ways EWB can build interest and momentum for change locally and globally. EWB is inspired by limitless imagination and a sense of spirit for what can be achieved when we operate beyond geographic bounds and individual identities.
How boundless citizenship will catalyze progress
Boundless Citizenship will set the stage for limitless thinking and positive conversations and interactions that will inspire delegates to engage others on global issues, extend understanding of Canada’s role in international development, and courageously create and pursue opportunities that move individuals to act on their values and care for humanity.
In 4 days, EWBers will leave championing their potential to scale-up citizenship locally and globally, truly demonstrating their global spirit while scaling Canada’s imprint on improving our collective future.
