Overseas Volunteer Opportunities

Engineering Meets Global Impact: EWB Canada and Cuso International Partner on Overseas Engineering Volunteer Opportunities

Engineers Without Borders Canada is excited to announce a new partnership with Cuso International, one of Canada’s leading international volunteer cooperation organizations.

Connecting engineers in Canada to communities abroad has been core to EWB’s work since our founding. Our fellows build relationships that endure, foster learning that lasts a lifetime, and inspire a way of thinking about Canada’s role in the world that carries far beyond any single placement. Through this new partnership with Cuso International, we’re excited to open these opportunities back up to our community.

The safety and wellbeing of everyone we place is at the heart of this partnership. Every placement is built on a strong foundation of duty of care, with dedicated support for volunteers before, during, and after their time in the field.

We’re now recruiting for five roles in Tanzania or Peru, with placements ranging from three to six months.

These opportunities are open to engineers and non-engineers alike – anyone ready to apply their skills to engineering-related work while growing as a leader in international development. Ready to be part of it?

Applications begin with EWB Canada, with three candidates for each role moving forward to Cuso International for final selection.

Apply now — roles are open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada only.

Together, let’s engineer an equitable and sustainable world.
