Rebecca’s time with EWB began as a chapter member at the University of Alberta in 2010. In 2011 I took my first role as VP Member Learning and proceeded to take on various roles with the executive, including JF in 2013 and President in 2015. After graduating, she worked on contract with EWB’s National Office to support the Community Team with both the Systems Change Leadership rollout and Leadership Day for xChange 2016, before taking a position as a mechanical engineer for General Electric. Each role she has taken has challenged her in new ways and allowed her to understand another aspect of the organization. It is this understanding, a passion for the organization and its work that Rebecca brings to the board.
Outside of EWB, Rebecca serves on the board of the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation, loves to be outside, and is working to improve her swing dancing skills.
