100,000 Canadians take a bite out of poverty
Engineering students have traditionally been known for their outlandish pranks, but on March 6, hundreds of Engineers Without Borders student volunteers were in the public eye for a different reason: in one day they distributed Fair Trade chocolate to 100,000 commuters across Canada in a bid to promote fairly trade products as a way to reduce poverty.

EWB recognizes five exceptional volunteers
The 2007 Volunteers of the Year are Kyle Baptista, Lianne Cockerton, Jen Hiscock and Florian Villaumé, and the winner of the 2007 Kruchten Award (for his behind the scenes contributions) is Scott Rutherford. These five individuals have each left an important imprint on EWB’s work throughout 2007 that will carry into the future.
